If you like, you can set up your site using a sub-domain. The URL
of your site would be www.yoursitename.awebdirect.com...
The advantage to this would be that you would not pay for a
domain registration or transfer, nor would you need to worry
about renewal fees or domain expiration.
Most
people prefer to register their site domain name however. The
advantage is that your url would be
www.yourname.com.
This looks more professional and tends to be easier for your
visitors to remember. Domain registration is not expensive and
the process generally takes only a few minutes.
